Doctor's Appt.

Our first appointment w/the baby doctor will be on Wednesday, Aug. 6th. That day, they will do an ultrasound and we will get the first picture of our baby! I know he/she will look weird, but it'll still be OUR baby! We should also be able to see our baby's heart beat at this appointment.

Keith and I are really excited about and looking forward to this appt. I know I've had 3 positive tests and I have all these symptoms that confirm I'm pregnant, but I still think it will seem even more real when I get to finally see the baby. I especially think this is true for Keith since he can't feel my symptoms (he only knows the result of them).

So to all you moms (and dads), does it really make a difference, especially for the dads? Or am I building up for something that won't be all that wowing? Don't get me wrong...I know that it will definitely be wowing to see this miracle from God - of this I have no doubt and do have much positive, eager anticipation. But, will it really have a difference on me definitely seeming pregnant - to Keith and/or I. As much as I think that this is true, surely it is. Just wondering.

Hopefully my rambling makes sense out loud. I know what I'm trying to get across, but things don't always make sense when I try to speak or write my thoughts. Hopefully you get me and I would love some comments on this one. PLEASE!!! Tell me if I'm right or wrong. Tell me if I'm alone in this or if any of you ever thought this too (or your husbands). And if you did think this, is it just b/c it's my first pregnancy or will it be this way for each one. Just wanting some thoughts of experience on this. Thanks!

My Eggo is Preggo!!! :)

One little word that just rocked our worlds! :) Life as we know it will never be the same!

Those of you who know me well, know this is something I've wanted for a very long time, and I'm so excited! I finally get to be a Mommy!!! And I know Keith will be a great Daddy!!!

We'll call first thing tomorrow to get a doctor's appointment and get it all officially, but I've taken 3 different brands of tests on three different days and each one turned postitive at a faster rate than the previous one. The picture above is from test #3, so we decided to share our news! Please join us in praying for a safe and healthy pregnancy and baby!

According to two different due date calculators I found online, I am 5 weeks pregnant with a due date of Thursday, March 19, 2009. I'll repost after the doctor's visit and let you all know the official word.

We've been working on some projects inside the house, but now we've got some new projects to do and a deadline to do them by. We've got to finish the bonus room, turn the office into a nursery, and combine the spare room and the office. Whew! We'll be using all the help we can get between now and March to get all this done in time.

We're very excited about our Lil' Westbrook on the way and had to share our joy! :)

Yes, I'm still here...just very busy!

Okay, soo...yeah I know it's been a loong time since I posted, but it's just been crazy around here. Here's what happened since I last posted.

1. My brother Dallas, his wife Cindy, and their precious baby girl Presley came to town to visit from the 21st till the 23rd. It's always great to see them, and it's neat b/c Presley is still just so different every time I see her.

Keith rocking her while they have a stare out.

This is my Great Uncle James with Presley. He loves kids and was like Grandpa to Dallas and I growing up.

2. Keith and I went to Branson from the 25th till the 27th. That was a great trip for us and we really enjoyed getting away alone.

3. We started working on our bonus room the 29th, and that led to working on the kitchen and living room. Still to go is the office and lots more to do on the bonus room. And we wanted to strip wallpaper in and repaint the half bath this summer too. So much to do...so little time...Aarrgghh!!! HELP, I'm losing my mind!

4. Keith's parents came to visit us on the 4th and brought our precious niece Lucy with them. First, we got to show off all the work we'd gotten done so far on the house and we cooked for them. And, we bought Lucy a little blow-up pool from Wal-Mart. That was a blast. She loved it and had a ball. I was the one playing in the pool with her, so I'll have to get pictures from Carolyn to post later. Oh we love that little girl!

5. Sunday was filled with family get-togethers at 2 and 6:30.

6. This week has been more of working on the house (though not as productive as last week was).

7. On Tuesday, I had my first professional massage. It was a Valentine's gift from Keith that I kept forgetting to call and schedule, so he called and scheduled it for me and gave me about an hours notice of my appt time. Oh my gosh. That was absolutely amazing! Now, I totally understand why people like them so much. I told Keith, and our parents, that if they ever couldn't think of something to get me...that would be a great idea.

8. Yesterday was my Dad's birthday. He's 57 now! He and Mom were getting up early to have breakfast at IHOP, so I joined them. Then Keith and I met them for dinner. And after church, the members surprised him with cake and ice cream. It was a good day of celebrating.

Thanks for reading and I'll try to not be so long between posts next time. Thank you for leaving comments! I like reading them. Until next time!
