So, Keith and I are both home today, but it's not actually snow....it's really just sleet and ice. There's nothing to play in. We went outside and tried to play with Bella in it, but with no luck b/c it's just solid sheets of ice. So, we took some pictures to show what it's like at our house. No, we didn't get a new vehicle - the car on the left is my moms. Dad came and switched vehicles yesterday morning to use our truck and we didn't switch back yet b/c the weather changed so quickly. You can see what the road looks like in front of our house...and that's solid ice; there's nothing slushy about it.

Here's Keith skating on our driveway:

He wouldn't let me try it. Gee, I wonder why? :)
We couldn't get to the backyard through the sunroom b/c the door was frozen shut and iced in. So, we had to get the gate keys and walk around to the gates from the front of the house. This required, first, breaking the chain loose 'cause it was frozen to the fence. Then we had to break the ice off the lock to get it to open. Finally, we had to break up and kick away the sleet/ice from the gate door just to be able to open it.
Once in the backyard, our next goal was to free the door to the sunroom. This required Keith using a garden hoe to break up the ice.

And, just so you can see what he was dealing with, this is how thick the ice is that he was breaking loose:

And finally, I have to post a picture with Bella in it b/c she LOVES the snow/sleet/ice. She already has lots of energy, but it's nothing compared to her in weather like this. I think she would think she was in heaven in Alaska. This is @ the gate we dug out to get through.
